CIBR WORKSHOP: THE BENEFICIAL USE OF ORGANIC WASTE IN NEW ZEALAND - A NEW TECHNICAL GUIDELINE FOR LAND APPLICATION

A one-day CIBR workshop was held on Tuesday 25 March 2014, which preceded the Land Treatment Collective Annual Conference. The workshop reviewed recent advances in biowaste research including:

  • Beneficial biowaste? reuse options and management options
  • Measuring and assessing environmental impacts e.g. LCA
  • Industrial organic waste management
  • Wastewater, greywater and biosolids issues
  • Emergent pollutants
  • Legislation and Guidelines
  • Behavioural issues.
