'Game of Thrones' Annual Quiz Night Winners

Our 7th annual 'Game of Thrones' quiz was held last night, and the trophy changed hands! Congratulations to Wave Runners from Tonkin & Taylor who took the 'throne' home this year - awesome work Melissa Fortune, Hannah Jagvik, Emily Wright, Reuben Ferguson and Tung Hoang.

Thank you to all the teams who attended last night, it was a great turn out and we hope everyone had fun. 

Major Milestone towards Safer Drinking Water

Water New Zealand welcomes the passing of the Taumata Arowai – the Water Services Regulator Bill.

Chief executive Gillian Blythe says this is a big step towards ensuring safe drinking water for all New Zealanders and visitors.

New Water Services Bill for Safe Drinking Water

On Tuesday, the Water Services Bill was tabled in Parliament. This is the complementary bill to the Taumata Arowai – the Water Services Regulator Bill which was passed on Friday last week.

Three Waters Reform Programme FAQ

The central and local government Steering Committee has put together the following compilation of FAQs to assist councils with an understanding of the proposed reform programme. These will be added to and updated as further questions arise and the reform programme progresses.

NZTA First Version of Asset Management Data Standard 

The first version of the asset management data standard is being released on 31 July 2020.

The Asset Management Data Standard (AMDS) project is a collaborative project between Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency and the Road Efficiency Group (REG) to improve the management of land transport infrastructure asset information, so we can make the best decisions about New Zealand’s land transport assets – our roads, highways, bridges, cycleways, and what sits on and under them.

Volunteer with VSA

Provincial Water Sector Adviser (Shefa)

Location: Vanuatu

Engineers without Borders New Zealand (EWBNZ) and VSA are looking for an engineer who is passionate about safe water outcomes and is willing and able to travel to remote locations. The volunteer will work to strengthen the capacity of the Provincial Water Office (PWO) in Shefa and assist them in implementing a Drinking Water Safety and Security Plan (DWSSP).
