Current projects include:- Demand Management:
Water New Zealand is developing a demand management portal, which aims to be the initial reference point for up-to-date and accurate information relating to effective Demand Management of our freshwater resources, and increased efficiency in water use. - The National Performance Review:
Following a successful Pilot Review of eight water utilities around the country in 2008, Water New Zealand has facilitated the first National Performance Review, with 11 participating utilities. A report will be released early in 2010. - WINFO:
The New Zealand Wastewater Information Database is a database providing information on wastewater treatment plants in New Zealand, and treatment techniques used. The database was established by Water New Zealand, the Water Services Managers' Group of Water New Zealand, and the Ministry for the Environment. - BOC Where There's Water Community Grants Programme:
Where There's Water...' is a scheme funded by BOC and administered by Water New Zealand. The programme has provided funding to community and school groups to help the maintenance, protection and improvement of the water environment since 2002.
