We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Scientist to join our Clean Technology team. This exciting opportunity will enable the successful applicant to help direct and develop clean technologies that redefine waste management, manufacturing, energy production and environmental remediation processes. Clean technology is a rapidly growing area of interest, which has the potential for significant intellectual property activity, creative science and international collaboration. The role offers the chance to make an impact through applied research and interaction with industry, while benefiting the environment. This Senior Scientist position will lead research and technology development activities at Scion related to industrial waste treatment, the conversion of wood-related waste streams to added value products and industrial ecology. This position will give you the opportunity to work and collaborate with colleagues who are experts in their chosen field.

You will possess a PhD in environmental biotechnology, engineering, chemistry, microbiology, or similar field, ideally with a minimum of ten years’ experience. An impressive publication or patent record is essential, coupled with experience interacting with industry and excellent communication and presentation skills. This role provides the opportunity to mentor and supervise others.
