We are looking for proactive people with experience in the water/wastewater sector to take on this challenging role at the Christchurch City Council.
Working for the City Water and Waste Business Unit of the Christchurch City Council offers the opportunity to work in one of the most diverse and multi-faceted organisations in the South Island. These key public facing positions will provide an exciting opportunity to gain exposure to a range of experiences in Trade Waste and Field Engineering where you can make your mark.
Working with a large variety of people from the general public and small business owners to multi-national companies you will provide advice on and handle water and waste enquiries. Furthermore this role offers a mix of office and field work, along with processing data and invoices you will also be out meeting businesses and clients face to face to help resolve issues and discuss options.
This unit is a dedicated, close knit team who enjoy working in a busy and good humoured environment . We are looking for self motivated people with appropriate water supply, plumbing, environmental science or wastewater experience, who show a high degree of initiative and organisation. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential as is a current driving licence and up to date computer knowledge.
