New Zealand Infrastructure Asset Grading Guidelines 1999

Water New Zealand

The Guidelines have been compiled to provide Utility Network Operators and other asset managers with a consistent and straightforward method for producing information on the condition and performance of water supply, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure assets. This information is an essential element in the preparation of Asset Management Plans (AMPs). It also enables Utility Network Operators asset managers to establish better standards of benchmarking, and allows more accurate comparisons between different Utility Network Operators.

The Infrastructure Asset Grading Guidelines - Water Assets are intended to be used alongside the New Zealand Infrastructure Asset Management Manual, in particular Section 4.5, “Asset Condition and Performance Grading”, and to form part of the suite of documents that provide information for the preparation of Asset Management Plans.
