Reticulation Operator - Waipa District Council

The Waipā District is recognised as a key location for future development, growth and investment. We have over $130 million worth of water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure projects planned over the next 10 years, including multi-million dollar construction projects for treatment plants, reservoirs and reticulation.

We are looking for a Reticulation Operator to join our team that works from depots based in Te Awamutu and Cambridge. Whether you're an experienced Operator or have experience in plumbing or drainlaying, this could be the role for you!

As a member of our vitally important Networks team you will be responsible for providing reticulation services for water, waste water and stormwater for the residents of the Waipā District. This role will offer the successful candidate plenty of variety, from responding to customer enquiries about possible pipe leaks, blockages or damages, to installing water connections; no two days are the same. The successful candidate will operate throughout the district, working a standard week with an on-call roster (i.e. evenings and weekends).

To be considered for this role you must have the ability to think on your feet and develop practical solutions when under pressure, well-developed organisational skills, effective time management and strong attention to detail. Having a water industry NZQA qualification will give you the edge when applying for this role, however, full training and support will be provided.

If you have skills we're looking for, and a desire to use your technical abilities and excellent customer service for the good of our communities, we would love to hear from you!

Applications close: 12pm on Monday, 29 July 2019.
