Do you have experience in leadership, working in a laboratory and commercial understanding? Are you looking for a new challenge? We are now looking for a self-motivated, customer focused individual to join the Operations team as our Laboratory Manager within the Three Waters and Waste unit.
The laboratory plays a vital role in the community, by supporting the Operations teams deliver safe drinking water via the Microbiology Laboratory and compliant wastewater and stormwater services via the Chemistry Laboratory. This could be your next step into a career where you are able to combine your technical laboratory knowledge and your leadership and people skills to instil confidence and build trust with our new customer. You'll be providing technical advice, resolving issues and help bring in new clients to the laboratory's services. You'll be a confident communicator both in person and with written documentation, essential to support our continuation of IANZ accreditation.
As the Laboratory Manager, you will be the technical interface between our customers and the laboratory services. You will have the necessary skills to seek and liaise with existing and prospective customers to provide advice and communicate effectively.
To be successful for this role you will have a tertiary qualification in one of the sciences, preferably chemistry. You will also have a minimum of 10 years water / wastewater laboratory analysis experience, with a minimum of seven of those years in either a senior technical or leadership position. You will be the type of person who can apply your technical knowledge in a confident and meaningful way and your commercial understanding to develop a strong customer service ethic and oversee the growth of the laboratory.
