We are looking for an experienced Treatment Plant Technician who can operate and maintain our facilities to join our Waitomo District Council team.
The Waitomo team works to provide leadership and solutions for issues that benefit the Waitomo District Community and help achieve the District's needs and aspirations.

This position will appeal to someone who will revel in the day to day operational management of our Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants.
Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, delivering agreed levels of service to our customers and contributing to plant optimisation and process enhancements will keep you very busy. There will also be an emphasis on planning and implementing scheduled maintenance activities for all plants.
Your National Certificate in Drinking Water Treatment and/or Wastewater Treatment, together with your technical knowledge and experience relating to the operation and maintenance of treatment facilities will be of value. Your ability to maintain a high working knowledge of relevant legislation, particularly health and safety legislation, codes of practice and other relevant information will ensure best practice and the safety of others is maintained.
