About the Role:
An opportunity has arisen for a Water & Waste Water Operator to join our Facilities Maintenance and Management Services Contract with the New Zealand Defence Force. The contract covers the NZDF Manawatu Hub region and includes three major military sites and their outlying areas.
This is a key role delivering quality water services and you will be joining the Trades team, located in Ohakea. To support this Three Waters contract you will be an experienced Drinking Water and Wastewater Treatment Operator and enjoy working as part of a dedicated utilities maintenance team delivering the most efficient and quality driven service.
Key duties will include;
- Water and Wastewater treatment operational duties, including routine and planned maintenance of the water plants
- Working within a committed team to collectively ensure our client's goals are reached within the capabilities of the reticulation networks
- Managing workload allocation and planning forward work
- Driving customer service delivery and quality to ensure KPI's are met
Skills and Experience:
- Suitability for Defence Security Clearance - mandatory
- Operators licences as required by legislation
- Relevant trade/technical qualifications (Reticulation or Drainlayer qualification/s)
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the Waste/Water industry specialising in Treatment Operations
- First aid certificate (desirable)
- Site Safe certification (desirable)
- Class 1(essential) & Class 2 or WTR, Confined Space preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication and tech-savvy
- Be able to work well within a team and by yourself
