Infrastructure Engineer -Transport


Our Infrastructure Engineers are a part of the Infrastructure Planning Team. This team assess, investigates and plans the city's needs regarding the Strategic Transport Network, and the Three Waters Networks to ensure that HCC meets the changing demands by providing clear and optimised infrastructure programmes that ensure value for money with integrated linkages to the City's strategies.

We have an rare opportunity to join a dedicated team of engineers, focussing on the transport discipline on a permanent, full time basis.

The fundamentals for these roles are:

  • Managing the Infrastructure planning programme for transportation
  • Coordinating technical interpretation/support from strategies/models related to proposed growth and development planning
  • Leading Infrastructure/planning projects with a focus on transportation
  • Leading development/operations of transport modes, such as WRTM and Hamilton model
  • Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to help provide efficient and safe networks

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in their respective discipline
  • Minimum 5 years technical experience in transport infrastructure industry
  • Ability to review and or undertake engineering assessments
  • Experience and ability to use transportation models for development, planning and network activities
  • Project management experience
  • Works successfully as part of a team, being flexible between being a team member and co-ordinating teams
  • Stakeholder management
  • Good communication and people skills, including writing clear and concise reports, and making effective oral and visual presentations

The recruiting range for this role starts at $115,000 per annum and could be negotiated for the right candidate.
