Operations and Maintenance Manager - Water Reticulation
An opportunity for an experienced water reticulation professional
The Role
Your team will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining water and wastewater reticulation assets and pump stations. You will work closely with the risk and asset manager and implement the maintenance plan that they have developed. You will be responsible for the management and coordination of plant and equipment and the coordination of resources in your team to achieve your targets and objectives. One of your challenges will be to improve the ratio of routine/reactive maintenance activities. You will form close working relationships with internal stakeholders including the customer service manager, the process manager, the risk and asset manager and the SHEQ advisor. You will also build credibility and rapport with our client's infrastructure manager and help to maintain the excellent working relationship that has been built with our client generally. Ventia has a very strong Health, Safety and Wellbeing culture and our leaders need to demonstrate a passion for safety and the ability to coach their teams in the development of a safe environment.

You will be an experienced manager who has previously overseen the operations and maintenance of water reticulation assets. You will be a champion of safe working environments and very well versed in relevant HSE information. You welcome challenge and are always trying to identify ways to improve the performance of your team and develop them as individuals.
Required Experience, Skills and Knowledge
- Previous team management experience
- An extremely well structured and organised style of working
- The ability to drive and achieve strong compliance with systems and processes
- In-depth understanding of water & wastewater reticulation
- An outstanding safety record and excellent knowledge of water industry HSE rules and regulations
