Taupō District Council is looking for a natural Leader for its Wastewater Treatment team who will enhance the strong culture of high performance and accountability within the team. This role is a great opportunity for you to demonstrate your leadership ability whilst being supported by a positive and encouraging management team.

Taupō District Council has a wide variety of wastewater plants including conventional anaerobic digestion, SBRs, SAF and MBR. We are also in the process of upgrading the Kinloch WWTP to an MBR/BNR plant that will be cutting edge and highly advanced in the treatment process. This will be an excellent role to further refine your wastewater skills and become knowledgeable in many different types of treatment processes.

This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation, maintenance and development of Council’s wastewater facilities. The successful candidate will need to have good analytical skills and a minimum of five years’ experience in water or wastewater treatment operations. Some project management experience would be desirable, as would a sound knowledge of compliance with resource consents.
