As our new Principal Engineer - Growth you will have the opportunity to shape the future growth of our district. We have identified areas for proposed residential and industrial growth so your role will be to enable this to happen!
Working closely with developers you will ensure that all planned residential and industrial development fits within our district plan guidelines and can be supported by Council infrastructure. You will also be responsible for advising developers with regards to development contributions and ensuring that the development contributions policy is complied with.
With strong civil engineering expertise in water and roading you will be our technical development engineer advising Council on our structure planning process which identifies how growth will occur and be managed You will be highly motivated and collaborative with the ability to think strategically and apply your technical engineering knowledge to identify and drive a coordinated approach to the provision of infrastructure and development. Working closely with our executive team and elected members you will be politically astute with an appreciation and understanding of Local Government. You will have exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, that showcase your ability to liaise at all levels and across a diverse audience.
