We are looking for a Manager – Utilities, a strategic leader with technical expertise who will develop and enhance a high performing utilities team, responsible for the successful and sustainable delivery of seven water and seven wastewater schemes across the Tararua District.
Reporting to the Group Manager – Infrastructure, this role requires a passion for leadership, water and wastewater services, and for supporting Council to successfully meet commitments to our community in a structured and focused way.

The successful candidate will help Council achieve their goals by:
- Providing proactive strategic leadership to the utilities team, guiding and collaborating with others in a diverse and challenging environment.
- Providing professional strategic advice and support to the Group Manager – Infrastructure and wider Council organisation.
- Overseeing the successful delivery of water and wastewater services, informing the direction of our district and associated investment requirements.
- Developing and enhancing trusted and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
