Maintenance Technician

Hamilton City Council owns and operates two advanced industrial facilities for the treatment of water and wastewater and is looking for a star to join the Treatment Plants Operations team to provide a high quality treatment service for the community.

You’ll be part of our lively City Waters team and play a key role in the day to day operation of the treatment plants and reservoirs, ensuring they are operated and maintained in accordance with standard operating procedures and industry best practice.

You will play a key role in completing preventative, programmed and reactive mechanical maintenance activities to keep the plant running smoothly.

Ideally you will have a NZCE or trade qualification, along with a sound knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems. You’ll also have some experience under your belt and know how to work with electrical equipment used in the water treatment process and industrial maintenance practices.  

You will need to be able to work systematically to meet commitments and deadlines and have experience in root cause analysis.

Recruitment salary for this role starts at $60,000 per annum, and can be negotiable to the right candidate.
