With high profile and community projects and an interesting variety of work we are now looking for a Civil Engineer to join our Technical Services and Design department, a team of technical professionals, all experts in their fields dedicated to delivering best value sustainable infrastructure.

This is a varied and important role where you will provide civil engineering services for three waters (water supply, wastewater and stormwater) utilities and infrastructure to enable delivery of the capital programme. You'll also provide design expertise, design inputs, and critically analyse/review designs including constructability checks and documentation from internal teams and external consultants. You will provide technical advice on complex water supply, wastewater and stormwater engineering projects on a city-wide basis and do detailed technical reviews of external concept and detailed designs for water supply, wastewater and stormwater projects to ensure compliance with Christchurch City Council standards.

You'll be a highly experienced Civil Engineer with strong design and technical review skills and will hold a BE (Civil). It would be an advantage to be a Chartered Professional Engineer with good 12d skills. You'll have extensive concept, detailed design and construction experience in water supply, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure projects. This will allow you to provide project design advice and to critically analyse and review designs of consultants and other professionals working on our projects
