Who are we?
We operate and maintain the four water treatment plants in Wellington and eight more in South Wairarapa.
Where do you come in?
The Maintenance Fitter position sits within Wellington Water's Asset Maintenance team. The key purpose of this role is to keep the plants running reliably and producing high quality water to our communities.
We are looking for someone with the following:
- The relevant Engineering/trade certificate in fitting and welding or turning
- Experience working on industrial equipment and systems
- Computer literacy, ability to input and access data from a laptop or iPad
- Knowledge of work practices to keep you and your work mates safe and healthy
- Full driver's licence essential
- Willingness to contribute to a team culture that is based on collaboration and learning
- Good at building strong partnerships with operators, technicians and contractors
- A degree of physical fitness to meet the physical requirements of the role. (heights, confined spaces, physical work)
