Who are we?
The Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Board protects public health and safety in New Zealand by ensuring that plumbers, gasfitters and drainlayers are competent and licensed.
The Board has developed markedly in the last 10 years and the Board is recognised as a modern, effective, and innovative licensing body. It aims to be data-driven and evidence-based, for greater impact; capable through a skilled and knowledgeable workforce; sustainable; and focused.
What will you be doing?
Our Technical Advisor plays a vital role in supporting the Board. You will be responsible for acting as an advisor to both the Board and to the industry about trade technical matters. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to really make a difference to public health and safety in Aotearoa.
What are we looking for?
To be successful you must be a registered plumber, gasfitter, or drainlayer.
We are also looking for someone who has:
- Experience working in a high level technical capacity
- Proven relationship management and engagement skills
- A proactive, can-do attitude with a high level of initiative
- An understanding of investigative/compliance processes or willingness to learn
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
This job would suit someone working in education or building compliance looking to further their career.
