Development Engineer

We are the Clutha District Council and we're looking for outstanding talent to join our Service Delivery Team

If you've got a civil engineering qualification at Diploma level and at least three years experience in an engineering position with a District or Regional Council or equivalent, our Development Engineer role could be the job for you.

It's all about providing expertise and technical knowledge to the design, construction and maintenance of infrastructure; safety in design and construction and maintenance processes.

You'll ensure that quality, appropriate infrastructure is constructed, and risk is managed for new developments in terms of robust engineering and appropriate responses to geotechnical and other natural hazards. You'll also achieve compliance with consent conditions and other legislative requirements.
