2016/17 Data Collection FAQ's


The following questions have arisen during the 2016/17 review. Clarifications on measures (which extend beyond definitions provided on data collection sheets) are listed below.

QUESTION:

SWE1a: Number of stormwater discharges does not have a description provided. What does this refer to?

ANSWER:

The number of outfalls from stormwater systems controlled by the organisation where stormwater is discharged into receiving water bodies, or to land.


QUESTION:

SWE1b: Number of stormwater discharges with resource consents does not have a description provided. What does this refer to?

ANSWER:

The number of resources consents issued by the regional council to the organisation for stormwater discharges managed by the organisation (e.g. if the organisation has a universal consent covering all stormwater discharges, this number will be one. If each outfall is individually consented the number will be the same as the number of stormwater discharges. If there is no stormwater consent required this number will be 0)


QUESTION:

WWA7m; Peak wet to dry weather flow ratio description leaves me unclear what data should be provided?

ANSWER:

This should be the Peak Wet Weather Flow divided by Average Dry Weather Flow.


QUESTION:

SWA3; Average Age of Stormwater Pipelines does not include service pipelines in the definition. They are included for water and wastewater pipelines. Should they be included here for consistency?

ANSWER:

Yes (this will be also applicable to SWA3: Average age of stormwater pipelines)
