Regional meeting - Climate Change Presentation and Discussion

Water New Zealand

Save the date for this powerful presentation on The Climate Reality Project inspired by US Vice President Al Gore.

“The road forward is clear. The power to change is in our hands. A sustainable future is in reach.”

Founded and chaired by Nobel Laureate and former US Vice President Al Gore, The Climate Reality Project is dedicated to catalysing a global solution to the climate crisis by making urgent action a necessity across every level of society. In 2019, Wellingtonians - Rob Blakemore and Frans Plugge, attended Al Gore's Climate Reality Leader training in Brisbane and committed to bring his presentation to a wider audience in New Zealand.

There are 20,000 trained leaders across the globe.

24 Hours of Reality: Truth in Action is a global day of climate presentations by Climate Reality Leaders (20-21 November 2019)

Join Rob and Frans for a 30 minute presentation of the Climate Reality Leader's slide deck with the latest research and data followed by discussion.

Rob Blakemore works at Wellington Water, and Frans Plugge is an independent energy management consultant.

After the presentation, you are invited to participate in a discussion about what you think organisations such as Water New Zealand and IPWEA should be doing to continue to advocate for change that will mitigate and help us adapt to the effects of climate change.

Proudly supported by Water New Zealand and IPWEA.
