Managing Water Loss

This event follows on from the Feb 2015 and Feb 2017 2 day water loss events, and is aimed at assisting water suppliers manage water losses from their water supply networks. The programme will cover the calculation of water balances, water loss performance indicators, network sectorization and pressure management, active leak detection and monitoring. This year there will be a greater focus on the way flow data (from SCADA, GSM and other monitoring systems) is summarized and presented on 'front-end' systems (such as SCADA screens, dashboards, automated reports etc) to facilitate the efficient management of real water losses. A number of case studies will be presented (please contact the organizer if you would like to be part of this), and there will be opportunity for interaction and discussion.

The main presenters will be Richard Taylor (Thomas Consultants) and Tim Waldron (Australia - ex chair of the IWA Water Loss Specialist Group).

There will also be a small expo (7 booths) and suppliers will have an opportunity to present on their latest products and services during the event.
