Waterloo Water Treatment Plant Tour – Young Water Professionals Group

The Wellington Young Water Professionals Group would like to invite you on a tour of the Waterloo Water Treatment Plant which has recently undergone a UV treatment upgrade. We will hear from Nick Hewer-Hewitt about how the Wellington region is supplied, why UV is necessary and how the Waterloo WTP treatment process works.

We also have Tristan Reynard, a consulting engineer and strategic project manager who worked on the discharge pipeline required for the UV upgrade. He will be presenting on the collaboration required between both consultants and contractors to achieve the ambitious operation deadlines.

This will be a great opportunity to understand more about the supply of water, risks to water supply and how this challenging project was completed. Also a great time to meet fellow young water professionals and discuss future challenges that the industry will face.

More information about the Young Water Professionals Group and how to sign up can be found here.
