You're invited to the:

International Conference on Urban Drainage 2020

The Conference Organisers and Committee are very conscious of the impact COVID19 is having on our world and will continue to monitor the situation closely following the advice of the Australian Government health officials and the World Health Organisation. The safety and well being of all stakeholders is our first priority. We will be in contact should the situation impact the Conference and regular updates will be made to the website.

It is with great pleasure and honour for us to invite you to the 15th IWA/IAHR International Conference on Urban Drainage (ICUD) to be held in Melbourne, Australia, 6th - 11th September, 2020. Following the success of the Conference in Prague in 2017, we are looking forward to welcoming you to Melbourne in 2020.

The City of Melbourne is ready to welcome you from around the world. Melbourne was rated the ‘World’s Most Liveable City’ for the fifth year in a row by the Economist Intelligence Unit and voted Australasia’s leading meetings and conference destination at the World Travel Awards. The city is home to monumental historic and modern architecture, an abundance of open green spaces, a wealth of attractions, and a sophisticated food and wine scene, which makes Melbourne a haven for exploration. Although Melbourne is the perfect walking city, public transport is also available and is free for travel around the city centre.

Melbourne is not only a great place to visit; it also has a rich history in urban drainage and we will strive to demonstrate some of its innovative approaches to urban water management through our field tours and exciting workshops. It’s proud to host a wide spread of water sensitive urban design (WSUD) systems, including over 15,000 raingardens. But it is not all about WSUD here in Melbourne, with many innovative integrated urban water management systems that manage storm, waste and ground waters using novel and innovated techniques.

We would like to cordially invite you to Melbourne to join your colleagues for mutual sharing of information and to experience Melbourne.
