Sue Ira (Koru Environmental Consultants Ltd) and Tom Stephens (Auckland Council)
- Topic - Lifecycle Costing for Stormwater devices
- Sue Ira (Director of Koru Environmental Consultants Ltd) is an environmental scientist with more than 20 years' experience working in stormwater management. Sue has extensive experience working in catchment planning, peer review and stakeholder consultation. She was the primary developer of the CostNZ Model and has developed a catchment-scale stormwater life cycle cost (LCC) model for NIWA and the Cawthron Institute. Sue was also part of the collaborative research team involved in researching the activation of water sensitive urban design in New Zealand for the National Science Challenge for Building Better Homes, Towns and Cities. Most recently, Sue has been working jointly with Landcare Research, Batstone Associates and PerrinAG to develop new economic costing models for various urban and rural stormwater interventions for Auckland Council's freshwater management tool (FWMT).
- Tom Stephens (Auckland Council) is a water quality scientist with interests in drivers and mitigation of land use effects. Tom and the Regional Planning team (Healthy Waters) are leading the development of evidence for Auckland Council to ensure sound limit-setting for the National Policy Statement for Freshwater Management using FWMT for better linking evidence to targeted action.
Mike Hannah (Stormwater 360)

- Mike is the Technical Director of Stormwater 360. He has 28 years experience in stormwater infrastructure engineering. Mike has designed, constructed, implemented, monitored and tested numerous stormwater treatment facilities. Mike has also presented some of his research at stormwater conferences in New Zealand, Australia and the USA. Co-founder of Enviropod NZ Ltd, Mike has been involved in developing innovative solutions to stormwater management. Stormwater 360 is New Zealand's only specialised stormwater engineering company with an extensive research and development program into innovative solutions.
Colin Roberts (DHI Water & Environment)

- Colin has over 25 years experience in modelling the world of water including stormwater systems around the world. He has just returned from a five year assignment in the USA based in Boulder Colorado where he was Director of the DHI Americas MIKE software sales department and served on the DHI Americas Management Team.
