Water New Zealand Annual Conference & Expo

Water New Zealand has postponed this year’s Annual Conference and Expo until 17-19 November following the announcement by the Prime Minister that COVID-19 alert levels will remain as they are until at least mid-September.

The Taumata Arowai pre-conference workshop will now take place on Monday, 16 November.

We understand that this will cause considerable inconvenience and we appreciate your patience in these uncertain times. But in order to hold our conference we will need to be at Alert Level 1 where gatherings of more than 100 can take place.

Our priority is to ensure we have a safe and successful face to face experience and we look forward to meeting all our exhibitors, speakers and delegates in Hamilton in November.

Please note that the conference will run a day earlier in that week than the September dates, starting on Tuesday (17 Nov) and concluding on Thursday lunchtime (19 Nov).

Looking ahead, if groups of more than 100 are still not possible in November, the conference will go online, and arrangements will be made to record all sessions speakers and have live keynotes and Q and As. We will work to ensure as good a virtual expo event as possible.

The Technical Committee has selected more than 100 papers and 12 posters. Session chairs have been allocated. They, like you and me, are looking forward to delivering a great series of conference streams.
