CIWEM’s Mentor Training workshop - Hamilton

CIWEM recommends that all candidates wishing to become Chartered as part of their career development should seek the support of a mentor to guide them through the journey.

Mentoring is a professional and trusted relationship between two people with a meaningful commitment to support and challenge the mentee to help them meet their career and professional development goals.

This practical one-day face-to-face workshop is delivered by an expert in their field and focuses on the core skills, behaviours and techniques needed to be a mentor of the highest professional standard.

This course will be relevant to first time mentors and to those who have already started mentoring but have not had any formal or recent training. It will be of particular interest to those who are supporting mentees with specific career development goals, such as Professional Registration.

This highly interactive course enables participants to practice the fundamental skills of mentoring through a series of discussions, interactive exercises and case studies. It will enable participants to understand the context within which being a mentor works most effectively.
