Local Government Funding and Financing

Members may be aware that the Productivity Commission has issued an issues papers on Local Government Funding and Financing, seeking comment by 15 February. Given that water infrastructure occupies about 1/3^rd of all local authority spending we propose to make a submission to the Inquiry. We attach a link to the Issues paper. If anyone would like to contribute ideas to the office in advance of us preparing the submission these will be accepted up to Friday, 21 December.
