Water New Zealand has joined WSAA’s new industry-leading technology innovation programme, W-lab, which aims to give water utilities access to global innovation experiences and set new standards in industry-led technology and innovation.

We will be presenting the W-Lab offering at the Water New Zealand Water Services Managers Group (WSMG) webinar on the 15th of October.

Biggest solar farm in the country installed on Auckland's wastewater lake

Watercare's new 1MW solar array floats on treated wastewater at Rosedale. The plant could power the equivalent of 200 homes, but will generate energy to run the sewage treatment plant where it was installed, saving about $150,000 a year in electricity costs.

A PhD opportunity with Waterways looking at braided rivers

The Waterways Centre for Freshwater Management at the University of Canterbury is offering a three-year PhD scholarship for full-time research on the subject of groundwater-surface water interaction in braided rivers. The scholarship is valued at $28K per year plus fees.

You will be given a 72-hour view window to watch the documentary and we encourage you to watch the documentary at your workplace, school or organisation.
