Our next podcast episode will focus on acknowledging and protecting the mauri of the water though Te Mana o te Wai.  This is a concept that is now enshrined in legislation. But what does it really mean and how will it affect the way we work?   We'll be discussing this with the Water New Zealand President and environmental lawyer, Helen Atkins along with fellow board member and Māori advisory lead at Pattle Delamore Partners, Troy Brockbank

Can we flood-proof our homes?

Forget about putting bigger pipes underground to stop a repeat of the damaging flash flooding that hit Auckland last week.  In most cases, it wouldn’t have made a difference, says flood expert Jon Rix, the head of the water engineering team at environmental and engineering consultancy Tonkin + Taylor.
