Water New Zealand Membership Terms and Conditions


Membership

  1. Water New Zealand membership is for individuals and companies. Each member must complete a membership enrollment form.
  2. Membership fees are due on application. An application will not be processed until payment has been made.
  3. Your membership may be part of a group of people from the same organisation (Corporate Additional membership), however it is still allocated to your name. If you leave that organisation, it may replace you with a new staff member. In this case, you are no longer a Water New Zealand member until you renew personally, or through your new employer.
  4. Membership for individuals renews on 1 July annually. You will be sent a renewal invoice in advance. This is due within 30 days, and no later than 90 days after the membership due date.
  5. Corporate Membership renews on 1 July annually. Your organisation's key contact will renew for the group and make any changes as necessary.
  6. In both 4 and 5 above (individual and corporate), if a membership remains unpaid for more than 90 days it will then lapse and you will no longer be a Water New Zealand member. This applies to all member statuses.
  7. You may resign your membership at any time. There will be no membership refund provided for your annual subscription paid.
  8. It is your responsibility to maintain your membership contact details, employment information and preferences. This can be done via your Dashboard within the website.
  9. The privacy of any personal identifiable information provided to us will be maintained in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and our Privacy Policy (available via our website).
  10. On approval of your application for membership, the following member information will be viewable to other members via the member area of our website. Person profile, profile picture, email address, business and mobile phone number, employer details. Members can update their privacy settings via the login area.
  11. These terms and conditions may change at any time. Members will be advised of any changes.

Privacy: The information we collect about applicants is used to administer membership, facilitate registration for member events, and to notify you of our other related events where permission is given. Registrants’ contact details are not disseminated to any party not connected to an event. We will maintain member privacy of personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and our Privacy Policy, available on our website.

In relation to events, registrant names may be included on a delegate list – only name, title and company will be displayed. We may contact non-member attendees to Water New Zealand events with membership information.

Photographs taken at any Water New Zealand event may be used for promotional purposes on the Water New Zealand website and in Water New Zealand publications. If you do not want a photo displayed in this way, please email enquiries@waternz.org.nz

Events

Water New Zealand events are bound by these terms and conditions. By booking to attend an event, you are agreeing to be bound by the terms and conditions as below.

Payments
Payment is required with booking. Receipts are not issued; please contact us if you require a receipt for payment.

Bookings and Cancellations
Bookings must be in writing either through the designated online registration portal or through a paper-based registration form detailing all particulars, as requested on the online or paper registration form.

For group bookings, please include a list of all attendees and their email addresses in the same booking.

Full refund of fees for cancellations of bookings will be honoured where more than three (3) business days’ written notice is provided. Please note that this needs to be agreed by both parties in writing in order for the cancellation and refund to be confirmed.

If, for whatever reason, you book and are unable to attend, you may send a substitute by providing their name in writing to the Water New Zealand prior to the event.

Privacy
