Investigating wave runup and coastal erosion sensitivity of a sheltered cliffed coast using GIS and numerical modelling under projected sea level rise

Lalita Garg - Arup

Lalita is a graduate environmental scientist at Arup. She graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) in Environmental Change from the University of Auckland. She focuses on understanding the cause, effect and strategies needed with respect to climate change and coastal environments. She has experience assisting multiple projects which ranged from understanding the impacts and effects of climate change, environmental risk assessments of various regions around New Zealand and working with communities to understand their needs and perspectives on climate resilience. She is presenting her Honours research looking at using GIS and numerical modelling to project future sea level rise and cliff erosion events
