Letter to Minister regards land access in the Water Services Legislation Bill

Water New Zealand have concerns the Water Services Legislation Bill, as drafted, will not work when it comes to land access. The proposed requirements will potentially result in project cost increases and timeline delays. We have proposed two solutions:

• Align requirement to LGA current process

• Reduce the set of circumstances when this new requirement applies to (new) infrastructure on or close to the surface.
