POSTER ABSTRACT

Implementation of WSUD Modelling, Design, Construction and Maintenance is not streamlined, with a variety of approaches and Authority Guidelines.  Before Cleanstormwater tools, there has been no tool unifying Engineering, Guidelines, typical Modelling approaches and Maintenance.  Cleanstormwater tools integrate science, public policy and engineering into a streamlined process for WSUD implementation and development.

The comprehensive approach brings together Science identifying need for action, Public Policy guiding actions, Software Engineering providing tools and Civil Engineering providing technical solutions.  Cleanstormwater's software tools allow infinite customization implementing Guidelines for each Authority, ease of Design and easy Approval.  Furthermore, it helps streamline the process of Engineering assessments informing Scientific understanding.

Revamping the WSUD design process ensures assets are appropriately built and maintained, with minimal cost and error through the process.  Impacts range from addressing issues like increased impervious areas and pollutant loading to ensuring compliance with regulatory policies and facilitation ease of assessment by authorities.  Overall, the implementation of this new WSUD Modelling paradigm represents a holistic approach to addressing Stormwater Management challenges through the integration of Science, Policy, and Engineering principles.

This integrated Science-Policy-Engineering loop has the potential to be adopted in other Stormwater Engineering area,s such as flood studies, flood mitigation, etc.
