Project & Contract Management Team Leader

Project & Contract Management Team Leader

Waipā District Council has a reputation for being the 'Home of Champions' - and with good reason. Look back over the past ten years at how our district has flourished into a central North-Island hub for people to live, work and play. The next ten years are going to be just as busy, with significant growth and future-proofing projects occurring district-wide. With growth comes opportunities, and we have a rare opportunity for a Project and Contract Management Team Leader to join our Water Services team.

As our Project and Contract Management Team Leader you will lead a team of 4 Projects Engineers in the efficient and effective delivery of the Long Term Plan renewals programme. You be responsible for providing strategic and technical engineering advice to ensure that this is delivered within agreed timescales, budget and customer expectations.

You will be highly motivated and collaborative with the ability to think strategically and apply your technical engineering knowledge to identify and drive a coordinated approach to the provision of infrastructure. Ideally you will have 8-10 years contract / project management experience with a particular focus on public asset engineering projects. As a strong leader you will seek to develop and support your team to deliver a first class service to our rate payers. With exceptional communication skills you will build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders providing positive outcomes for Council and our wider community within the Water Services team.

Our communities are at the forefront of all that we do, that's why we work hard to ensure that we have the best people on board our ' Waipā ' team. If you would like to be part of a committed team who are dedicated to providing an outstanding service to our customers and community, then we would love to hear from you.

**Please note: Waipā District Council has a COVID-19 Staff Vaccination Policy that requires all employees to be fully vaccinated (unless medically exempt). As such, you will need to provide evidence of being fully vaccinated via a valid My Vaccine Pass in order to be appointed to this role.**
