We're seeking the perfect addition to our Technical Services and Design Unit. You'll be valued here as you bring your extensive experience as a Senior Water Resources and Stormwater Engineer, geared towards design and construction. We are a team of technical professionals, all experts in our fields who are dedicated to delivering best value and sustainable infrastructure. This is a varied and important role where you will provide civil engineering services for Three Waters (storm water, land drainage, water supply, potable wells and wastewater) utilities and infrastructure. You'll also manage the design processes, including design expertise, design inputs, and critically analyse/review designs including constructability checks and documentation from internal teams and external consultants. A big part of this position is also to provide expert advice on complex water supply, wastewater and storm water engineering projects on a city wide basis, as well as land drainage, flood mitigation projects, pump stations and stop banks.

What we are looking for is a highly experienced Civil Engineer with strong design skills. You'll hold a BE (Civil) and be a Chartered Professional Engineer and a professional member of Engineering New Zealand. You'll have extensive construction and detailed design experience in stormwater, land drainage, water supply and wastewater infrastructure projects, which will allow you to provide project design advice and to critically analyse and review designs of consultants and other professionals working on our projects.
