How to guide to be a good partner to tangata whenua

Networking

This 1½ hr workshop aims co-develop a ‘How to Guide’ that can be used by Water Professionals describing ways to be better partners to Tangata Whenua, and as a result, more able to deliver Te Mana o te Wai meaningfully.

The objectives are to There will be a panel talk with local Mana Whenua and a representative from the organisation they are partnering with, giving an example of ‘good’ partnership. This will then give way to a workshopping element in which each table answers certain questions. The tables will have representatives from the Te Mana o te Wai Sub-Committee to facilitate this kōrero. Not all tables will have the same questions in order to allow more content to be captured for the guide. Depending on time, there will be a rep from each table to feed back on their kōrero at the end.

The expected outcomes from this workshop are to use the content to inform development of the guide, as led by the Te Mana o te Wai sub-committee* from Water New Zealand.
