The NZ Transport Agency would like to invite you to a Transport and Water workshop to learn more about and discuss two key topics. NZTA commissioned a piece of research looking at the environmental risk of stormwater runoff from roads and using the Porirua Harbour as a case study. To provide context Keith Calder (Porirua Harbour Strategy Coordinator) shall present on the challenges of managing the Porirua Harbour and catchment. Laurie Gardiner (MWH) and Jonathan Moore (NIWA) shall then present their research on stormwater runoff. The second topic is on constructed stormwater wetlands and ponds. Peter Mitchell (AMA) and Neal Perrot (Wetland Solutions) will present some ‘tips and tricks’ that will help towards successfully delivering effective and efficient Stormwater wetlands and ponds.
