Jules Scott-Hansen will be sharing her experience as a VSA/EWBNZ volunteer on the Tarawa Solar Distillation Pilot project in Kiribati.
The Tarawa Solar Distillation Pilot is a project that looks to increase the resilience of water supplies in communities in Kiribati. It is a country in the middle of the Pacific that struggles with many challenges including threats from climate change impacts, growing population and urban drift, as well as increasing pressure on fresh water resources. As part of the project, EWB sent volunteer Jules Scott-Hansen to Kiribati for 6 months to help implement the project on the ground.
