Three Waters Reform Update

The next stage of the Government’s three water reform proposal was released on Wednesday 30 June. This comprised three (out of four) cabinet papers outlining the intention to establish four, new, publicly-owned water service entities. The fourth cabinet paper will address proposed arrangements for transitioning to and implementing the new system. The timing of this paper’s release is July 2021.

Gillian Blythe and Noel Roberts will talk to the proposals and provide updates in relation to questions and answers that may have been addressed in the intervening period.
