Lesley is excited about the role the water sector can play regenerating the environment and supporting thriving communities, so working at Water New Zealand is a real privilege. She joined the water sector fifteen years ago, however her training is in Electrical Engineering. Lesley maintains a keen interest in the energy, carbon and water nexus and is particularly interested in our response to the climate crisis. Her day job involves providing technical support for Water New Zealand stakeholder groups, which often involves project managing initiatives on their behalf. Engaging with these committed volunteers from around NZ is a huge source of inspiration and easily the best part of her job.
