Frank O'Callaghan

Frank O'Callaghan is a professional pipeline engineer and National Technical Manager of Iplex Pipelines (NZ) . He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Science, and has more than 45 years first-hand experience with manufacturing, development, design, specification and construction of infrastructure plastic pipelines; in New Zealand, Australia, Papua New Guinea, USA and the UK.

Frank has special interests in Trenchless applications, Seismic Performance of pipelines, Watermain and Wastewater, Irrigation, Mining , Sustainable Pipe Technology and "hands on / on site" contractor technical support training.

Frank has co-invented and patented trenchless pipe technologies, and has delivered research Papers internationally, on Seismic performance experience with pipelines in New Zealand.

He represents the New Zealand peak industry organization, Plastics New Zealand on several joint Australian / New Zealand technical committees, responsible for plastics pipe standards used in plastics pipe manufacturing and installation.
