The 5S (Gold Shovelers) Society Emerging Water Professional Conference Attendance Prize offers a Water New Zealand Young Water Professional recent graduate the opportunity to attend the Water New Zealand Conference & Expo or Water New Zealand Stormwater Conference, to broaden their knowledge and gain a greater appreciation of the water environment, water management, water engineering and the water industry at large.
The Paper of the Year recognises the best technical paper submitted to the Water New Zealand Conference & Expo technical programme. A winner and runner up are awarded each year.
The Presentation of the Year recognises the best presentation from the technical programme of the Water New Zealand Conference & Expo.
Poster presentations provide a unique opportunity for authors wanting to share their knowledge or experiences through the medium of display posters at the Conference.
The Young Author of the Year Award has been established to encourage the participation of young authors at the Water New Zealand Conference & Expo. This award is given to the best paper submitted to the technical programme, by an author aged 35 years or younger.
Papers submitted for presentation at the 2023 Water New Zealand Conference & Expo, that meet relevant criteria are automatically considered by the Technical Committee for the Young Author of the Year Award. Please ensure when you are submitting your paper you tick the relevant box to be considered for this award. Exhibitors are an integral part of the Water New Zealand Conference & Expo, and the award judges are always impressed with the quality and amount of interest generated by exhibition stands at each year's event.
There are two categories: Best Single Stand and Best Multiple Stand.
In judging the award, consideration is given to the layout of the stand, design flair and creativity.
