NZLTC Annual Conference

This conference will feature two days of technical sessions and a field trip on the third day. Hawke’s Bay has been chosen in recognition of the challenges the region has faced, and to provide us with an opportunity to see how communities adapt to challenges of our changing landscape. Of particular interest will be hearing discussions and accounts of how land treatment systems and associated infrastructure has been adapted as a result of recent extreme weather events but also learning about innovative research to reduce nutrient losses using waste treatment and land application practices that can stimulate the creation of circular economies. Technical sessions include a diverse set of presentations about onsite wastewater treatment, land application of wastewater or organic wastes and associated management of contaminants, and new circular economy options to reuse organic waste.
