With over 10 years of experience in the water industry in New Zealand, Nicolette’s background is in water quality science and engineering, with a specialisation on compliance data analytics. Her recent study focused on the role of data and data quality in regulatory standards, including the impact it can have on the operational requirements of data producers. Nicolette is currently the Digital Technologies Lead at ProjectMax, a New Zealand-based consulting firm specialising in helping clients create strategies for maintaining and optimising their Three Waters infrastructure.

I came into the water sector from an electrical background and then followed my curiosity in to how to make processes more effective and efficient. I have operational and senior management experience for a water utility. This has helped me in my current role at Water New Zealand, which is effectively looking at what makes the Three Waters sector tick and identifying areas of opportunity to assist members.
