CIWEM Webinar

Webinar

The next CIWEM NZ Webinar is discussing the CIP Shovel Ready Projects - where is the money going and do we agree? During this discussion, we will take a look at the recently identified and approved Crown Infrastructure Partners Shovel Ready Projects in New Zealand, explore the merits of the schemes and discuss where the money is going. We are delighted that Graham Mitchell, the CEO of Crown Infrastructure Partners, has agreed to provide us with his unique insights into the process and give us his thoughts on the expected outcomes from this unique infrastructure investment opportunity.

These projects and programmes are those that have been deemed to be ready for construction and could play a part of the stimulation package to recharge the economy post COVID-19. They are required to be for the public benefit, or if private, must demonstrate a public benefit or be capable of being repurposed for public use.

Now we have a list of approved projects spanning a wide range of sectors, Clare Feeney Founder, Environment and Sustainability Strategic Training Institute, will discuss the training opportunities this level of investment presents and how this can be used to create a lasting legacy for our workforce, particularly in terms of environmental awareness and specialised skillsets.

Our speakers will present their findings, followed by an open Q&A and debating session. Join us to discuss the issues and challenges with the proposed plans from an infrastructure, staff training and capability perspective.
