A discussion with Hannah Edmond – 2020 Young Water Professional of the Year

Hannah is a Principal Civil Engineer and the Water Team Lead in Mott MacDonald’s Wellington office. She has worked on infrastructure projects in the United Kingdom and New Zealand and was awarded Water New Zealand’s Young Water Professional of the Year 2020. She is an experienced project manager including tunnels, wastewater and water networks and wastewater treatment. Hannah is an advocate of capital carbon emission reduction in the construction sector, and project managed the delivery of Watercare’s carbon baseline assessments for their Enterprise Model capital works programme- the first programme wide carbon baseline in Australasia. She is also a member of Water New Zealand’s Climate Change Group, who are developing a sector pathway to net zero, and is supporting other water asset owners and councils in New Zealand and Australia on their own Capital Carbon Journeys.

Hannah will present on her work that led to the award and her experiences and observations of the water industry as a YWP. This will be followed by an open Q&A and a short interactive session to inspire discussion around the future directions of the water industry.

This will be followed by networking over drinks and nibbles, provided by Mott MacDonald.
